Ezra walks back out onto the stage. He smiles to everyone. "My Dears, the next award will be presented by Mr. Nathan Jackson and Mr. Fox Mulder."
Nathan and Mulder walk onto the stage and up to the podium. Mulder looks around. "So, this is where the abductees have been taken?"
Nathan just shakes his head. "Ain't no one here don't want to be."
"I can certainly see that. Crowd of wild women just waiting to have their way with a man-" He lets his voice trail off.
"We're here to present the award for best crossover fiction," Nathan interjects.
"What is a crossover, Nathan?" Mulder asks.
"Way I understand it, a crossover takes two or three different series and combines them into one tale, using elements of all of them. Takes intimate knowledge of all the shows involved."
Mulder reaches into his pocket and takes out some sunflower seeds. "Well, let's get to it. The nominees in this category are:
Nathan takes the envelope. "The Ezzie for Best Crossover Fiction goes to Wyndewalker, for Reunions."
"What?" Wynde stared up at the stage from her seat in the audience. Her date for the evening, Ardeth Bey, pushed her up from her chair with a grin. "Go on, Dayita. They have called your name."
"But... but... I didn't even know I'd been nominated for anything." Wynde walked up to the stage, hastily straightening her casual clothes. She certainly hadn't expected to be anywhere near the stage this evening. Grinning broadly, she hugged Nathan and Mulder as she took the award, then turned to the podium. "I guess I'd like to thank the person who nominated me, and everyone who has given me feedback on my stories. Without such a wonderful, recpetive audience I probably wouldn't continue to stay up long past my bedtime every night to write. Thank you everyone."

She continued to smile broadly as Nathan and Mulder escorted her back to her seat and Ardeth. She snuggled happily against his side to watch the rest of the awards.
The announcer's voice can be heard. "Dears and Gentlemen, please welcome Nathan Jackson of the band "The Magnificent Seven" and Special Investigations Agent Josiah Sanchez."
Nathan and Josiah walk onto the stage, shaking their heads at each other. Josiah speaks first. "This award is for fanfiction written in an alternate universe. There are several universes associated with The Magnificent Seven, universes ranging from Scientific Paranormal Investigations to World War II to Star Trek to rock bands, and much much more. The possibilities are as endless as the imaginations of the writers."
"Josiah and I are here to present the Ezzie for best AU Fanfiction. The nominees in this category are-"
"Wait a moment, Nathan, didn't we have one earlier for AUs?"
"Yes we did, Josiah. But that was for ATF. There are so many stories written that AU that it warrants its own category. This one is for all of the others."
Josiah nods and Nathan continues. "The nominees are:
Josiah closes his eyes and looks at the envelope. "And the Ezzie for best AU fanfic goes to Heather, for Ambassadors. Ambassadors is in the Star Trek AU, which was developed by Nancy."

Nathan says, "Heather is on location in the desert and could not make it to this evening's ceremony, but she would like to thank you all for the award."
Wil Dezmond and Chad Finletter walk onto the stage. Chad has a pizza with him. "Wow, look at all the people here!" he says to Dez.
Dez nods. "It's quite warm in here."
Lady Viper shouts out, 'He brought you dinner, you gonna let him hold your hand?"
Both men look over at her in shock. Dez recovers more quickly. "We're here to present the award for best Anthony Starke character fiction. The stories here are centered around one of his characters-"
"But not Ezra, right?" Chad asks.
"Right. Not Ezra," Dez responds. "You want to read the nominees?"
"Sure," Chad answers. "The nominees for best AS Character Genfic are:
Dez takes the envelope and opens it. "The winner of the BrigaDear Award for Best AS Character Genfic is Enid, for Alone In The Dark."
=========> Enid steps up on stage again and smiles. "Thanks again everyone for this award. It seems that we need to get people busy writing fics for Tony's other characters. There really are some fun and challenging character to be written about out there." Enid smiles again. "Thanks again." She departs the stage and is escorted back to her seat by David Chandler.
Both men hug Enid and Chad lifts her, carrying her off stage.
Jimmy bounces onto the stage, followed by Michael Patrick who just looks at the man with a raised eyebrow.
"Jimmy likes this place."
"Does Jimmy know what a personal pronoun is?" Michael asks.
Jimmy looks at him. "Jimmy doesn't like you. Jimmy thinks you're not very nice."
Michael just rolls his eyes. "Jimmy and I are here tonight to present the Ezzie to the Best AS Character Smutfic."
"Is Jimmy involved in the smut?"
"No you're not," Michael responds, clearly annoyed with his presentation partner.
Jimmy shrugs. "The nominees are:
Finding Solace- Last Frontier, by Jilly
Michael takes the envelope and opens it. "And the winner of the best AS Character Smutfic is Jilly for Finding Solace- Last Frontier."
==========> Billy was blushing fiercely looking at his date. "You wrote a smut fic about ME?!" he squeaked.
Jilly grinned and kissed him soundly. "You were such a willing participant, darlin'," she purred befor heading to the stage.
"Thank you so much for this award! I appreciate more then you know!" Jilly said.
Jimmy looks to her. "Do you want Jimmy to escort you, or that wet blanket?" Jilly grinned and walked over the Michael Patrick, who escorted her off stage. Jimmy followed behind.
The band strikes up a tune. This time, the percussion in the familiar theme song takes on a metallic ting, almost like swords fighting.

Ezra walks onto the stage. "Welcome back. In case you have not noticed, The Magnificent Seven is performing a salute to the Alternate Universes of the fandom. That last one, I think was meant to be a tribute to the Kings and Vagabonds AU. I've also heard tributes to M7Rocks, SPIT7, Star Trek, and original so far. Keep an ear out for other AUs as you watch tonight's ceremony.
"Now, RPG stories are formed a little differently than other fanfiction. There is a group of writers working together to create a story. The story is a perpetual work in progress as we follow the lives of the original characters created to interact with. There are several categories to be presented. Some RPGs are adult in nature, others are general audience." He smiles. "All are pretty much going to have romance elements.
"The DM for the winning groups will accept on behalf of each RPG. If the DM is not a member of the list, please have only one member accept on behalf of your group." Ezra winks to the audience.
"Now, to present the first of the RPG awards, OW Gen, Mr. Vin Tanner and Mr. Nathan Jackson."
Vin Tanner and Nathan Jackson walk onto the stage.
"Ezra mentioned that these stories are written in rotation by several writers," Vin says.
Nathan continues, "In order for a group to be eligible for RPG categories, the groups must be current. This determination, for the purposes of judging, was based on a site update date of February 1, 2001 or later."
"And at least half the group has to be on the BrigaDears list," Vin puts in.
"Any thing else?" Nathan askes.
"Oh yeah, it has to be available on a website."
"Lot's of requirements."
"Yep."
The two men stand and look at the audience for a minute. Finally, Vin turns to Nathan. "Guess we should read the nominees."
"Yeah. The nominees for best OW Gen RPG are:
Vin opens the envelope. "The Ezzie goes to Painted Desert Serenade."
===========> Cat, Laura, Nee, Karol, Tracy and Dayna stand up and are all hugged by their dates. They shake the hands of the BrigaDears they pass on the way up to the stage where they hug Nathan and Vin.
Cat steps up to the microphone as the Ezzies are handed out to each member of the group. "There are always a lot of people to thank. Of course, John Watson, Trilogy, and the Mirish Corporation because they brought our boys where we could see them. But most importantly, we thank everyone who has read and enjoyed our story and we thank the judges. This is a very new group and we're all very excited about the story we are telling. It is an honor to have won this Ezzie. We'd also like to congratulate Ladies of the Magnificent Seven Group 3. It was an honor to be up against one of the very first M7 RPG groups, and the very oldest one still active. That takes dedication by the writers. Congratulations ladies!. Once again, thank you so much."
Cat hugs everyone in the group.
Vin and Nathan hug each of the members of Painted Desert Serenade before escorting them off stage.
"BrigaDears, please welcome Mr. Buck Wilmington and Mr. JD Dunne to present the Ezzie for Best OW Adult RPG."
Buck and JD walk onto the stage. More precisely, Buck walks past JD and knocks his hat off of his head. JD picks it up, then chases Buck. They run around for a moment.
"Gentlemen, perhaps you could get on with this?" Ezra calls from off stage.
Appropriately chagrined, Buck and JD walk up to the microphone. "You'll have to excuse Buck, gals. He ain't got no manners," JD says before Buck can say anything.
"Hey!" Buck swatted him.
"You ladies notice that Buck here has to do all the adult ones?"
"You're up here with me. And Chris and Vin did one together too. But that's just cause Cat thinks I'm real sexy."
"Hey!" Cat squawks from the audience. Buck winks to her. "You know you love me sugar."
Cat looks to Ezra, Dez, and Mac, then blushes and nods.
"Getting back to what we're up here to do," JD says and looks to Buck.
"Yeah, we're here to award an Ezzie."
"Adult RPGs contain story lines which can be adult in nature," JD says.
"Some contain some pretty hot stuff, too," Buck says. "I know I had to take a couple cold showers after reading these."
"Do you ever take any other kind of shower, Buck?" JD quips.
Buck gives him a look, then reads from the screen. "The nominees for Best OW Adult RPG are:
* ARPG 7
* ARPG 8
* ARPG 2
* ARPG 10
* Western Skies
JD opens up the envelope. "The Ezzie goes to Western Skies."
=========> Cat, Tracy, Karol, Jilly, Molly, Suzy, Kat, and Nee stand up and are all hugged by their dates. They shake the hands of BrigaDears they pass on the way up to the stage, where they each hug Buck and JD.
Cat steps up to the microphone as the Ezzie's are handed out to each member of the group. "There are a lot of people to thank. The people who read our story and enjoy it. The judges, of course, for their hard work because we know RPG judging is long work and we thank them for that. Not to mention John Watson, Trilogy, and the Mirish Corporation who brought such wonderful characters to the screen for us to enjoy, love, and write with. We'd like to thank all the BrigaDears who have supported us. And we'd also like to thank the many RPGs which came before for laying a foundation for this game to continue. We'd like to congratulate all of the other nominees. Once again, thank you!"
Cat hugs everyone in the group.
Buck and JD hug each of the writers of Western Skies and then escort them off of the stage.
Agents Josiah Sanchez and Vin Tanner walk onto the stage. "Like our Old West Counterparts, several role playing groups exist in the ATF universe. Given the modern setting, the female characters do have more opportunities, and different situations arise than can happen in the original universe," Josiah says.
"We're here to present the Ezzie to the Best ATF Adult RPG. The nominees in this category are:
· Atlanta ATF ARPG
· City Lights
· The Edge: Denver Office
· Mile High
Josiah takes the envelope and opens it. "And the BrigaDear Award for Best ATF Adult RPG goes to The Edge: Denver Office."
===========> Jilly, Carla, Suzy and Kat stand hugging each other heading to the stage. Jilly stepped forward to accept. "On behald of the two members that aren't Brigs, Amy and Loria, and for all of us, I accept this award. THank you for choosing us for the second year in a row. Thank you so much!" Jilly said.
Josiah and Vin hug each of The Edge writers and escort them off stage.
Chris Larabee and JD Dunne walk onto the stage wearing tuxedos and cowboy hats. "Case you're wondering, we're from the new west," JD says.
"The New West is a universe which takes place in southern Arizona. In that universe, we're county sheriffs."
"We're here to present the Ezzie for alternate universe RPG. The nominees in this category are:
Desert Bloom (New West Universe)
Chris takes the envelope and opens it. "And the Ezzie for AU RPG goes to Desert Bloom."

Tracy looks stunned. Riggs turns to her "um my dear why the surprised look no one was up against you."
Tracy nudges Riggs in the side and hugs Darrien who sweeps her off her feet and carries her up to the stage.
She smiles and waits while Cat, Karol, Molly, Jilly, Ronelle, and Dayna join her.
They watch as Karol stands in front of the audience blowing kisses "oh thank you, thank you!"
Cat walks over and grabs Karol leading her over to the podium next to Tracy.
Tracy smiles and clears her throat "on behalf of my co-dm's Karol and Cat. And the rest of the writers of Desert Bloom we'd like to thank you for giving this very much appreciated award.
Riggs stands up and yells "again NO ONE was up against you!"
Cat shakes her finger at Riggs "another outburst and no after party for you!"
Riggs smiles "I'm only joking." He winks then blows Cat a kiss which she returns.
Tracy raises her eyebrow to Cat then goes on with her speech. "Desert Bloom was created by an idea. An idea to put our seven beloved lawmen in a modern day setting. A western town in need of some law to protect it."
Jilly whispers to Tracy "we did have a commercial you don't have to give a synopsis."
"Oh!" Tracy smiles "anyway we want to thank you and we have a special surprise for Karol."
JD reaches under the podium and brings up a sparkling tiara. Karol's eyes widen but she remains calm.
"Karol" Tracy smiles "we crown you the co-dm queen of Desert Bloom." She looks to the audience "really we just wanted too cause Karol has this obsession with crowns."
JD places the crown on Karol's head and gives her a quick kiss.
Cat, Jilly, and Tracy whistle from the stage and clap. Nee in the audience stands up and yells "YOU GO GIRL!" As Karol waltzes across the stage blowing kisses to the audience again.
As JD watches Karol strut Tracy sneaks over and gives him a quick pinch on the tushy "Good job JD!" She giggles.
Chris and JD hug each of the writers of Desert Bloom and escort them off stage.
Special Agent Buck Wilmington walks onto the stage with Commander Jackson. "Agent Wilmington and I are here to present the BrigaDear Award for the Best AUAdult RPG group."
"That's right, commander."
"The nominees in this category are:

============> Jilly smiles standing again and hugging Greylyn, CArrie-Ann, Nee, Tracy, and Kathy D before they all head to the stage. "AS DM of the group, I gladly accept this award on our behalf, and we have to thank Cat for creating the ROcks universe!" she said with asmile.
Buck and Nathan hug each of the writers of M7Rocks!3 and escort them off stage.
"Now to present the last of the awards for RPGs, Mr. Josiah Sanchez and Mr. Chris Larabee."
Chris and Josiah walk onto the stage and step up to the microphone.
"We're here to present the Ezzie for RPG Website Design. This category was added this year because these stories are all presented on line, and they do take a great commitment to maintain, as most stories have additions at least once every two weeks," Josiah states.
"Additionally, the websites must be designed to reflect the feel of the group. The atmosphere created by the page is going to affect how the story is perceived," Chris adds. "Because as your favorite-"
"A puzzlement to all of us, to be sure," Josiah interrupts.
"Your favorite would say: 'Appearances are everything.'"
"May not be everything," Josiah adds. "But they do help. The nominees for Best RPG Design are:"
Chris takes the envelope and opens it. "And the Ezzie goes to Jilly Harris for Special Paranormal Investigations RPG."
============> Jilly ran up to the stage and hugged everyone. "Thank you so much! This means so much to me, thank you!" she said through tear filled eyes. "It was so much fun to create the web page for the SPIT RPG." She waved walking off the stage.
Chris and Josiah hug Jilly and then escort her off stage as the band strikes up a tune. The percussive undertone to this version has what sounds to be artillery.
